What Your Child Needs (and What They Don’t!)
Here are the essentials your child will need to feel safe and comfortable:
• A small backpack
• A change of clothes
• Diapers and wipes (if needed)
• Labeled bottle or sippy cup
• Comfort item (like a blanket or toy)
❗ Tip: You don’t need to buy brand new items! Gently used clothes and supplies work perfectly.
Ways to Save on Daycare Supplies
• Ask about donations: Next Step often has supplies available through our Grab Bag program.
• Local churches and nonprofits: Many offer diapers, formula, and more.
• Facebook groups / community boards: Look for “Buy Nothing” groups in Montgomery.
• Dollar stores: Great for wipes, bags, and small containers.
